Our Policy
When guests make a booking they anticipate that
the room will be held for them. For this reason, most Hotels/Guest Houses
expect guests to confirm the booking and secure the accommodation with a
deposit or credit card number. As a result, cancellation of accommodation
may result in the guest being charged, as by canceling, the guest is in
breach of contract.
We will make every attempt to re-let the
accommodation, but in the event that this is not possible, we reserve the
right to make a charge at our discretion, as follows:
• All deposits are non-refundable and we normally
ask for the value of the first nights accommodation.
• Cancellation within 7 days of the arrival date
is liable to a charge of 80% the full cost of the booking.
• Cancellation within 21 days of the arrival date
is liable to a charge of 50% of the full cost of the booking.
Hopefully you will not need to cancel your trip
but you can insure against cancellation costs if circumstances force you
to cancel your trip. The Yorkshire Tourist Board has arranged preferential
rates and we can provide further details if required.
